ABOUT ME
My name is Annika. I was born and raised in a small wine village in Germany. Since early childhood, I have had a close connection to Southern Africa, where part of my family lives.
In April 2021 I left my job as an editor and my flat in Frankfurt to work as a freelance journalist. Since then I have been travelling around Africa and the Middle East, always looking for inspiring stories to tell.
On this page, you can see some of my work from the last three years. From the third quarter of 2024, I won't be working on any more journalistic projects. Instead, I will be focusing on new projects. The core of what I do will remain the same: a passion for storytelling, wildlife, and conservation.
